Every year, we observe International Day of Peace Day to reflect on all efforts towards transforming a conflict-habituated system into a peace system where people live peaceably with one another irrespective of their differences. Peace is priceless.
Peace is the ordinariness of life. Peace is freedom. Peace is our ability to see humanity in ourselves and everything around us. Peace is our love and care for one another despite our diversities. Peace is sharing with one another.
Therefore, cultivating a culture of peace has to be translated into our daily lives with one another. It positively impacts our ability to be open when we have issues and dialogue for deeper understanding, leading to further collaboration and social coercion and cooperation.
I also want to take this opportunity to call for justice, equity, equality, and development, leading to sustainable peace all across our beautiful continent of Africa. We all have a role to play in achieving peace and that's why I say I Stand for Peace.
Happy International Peace Day to all people across the globe.
