On this year's international Day of Peace, themed "Cultivating the Culture of Peace," we are reminded of our collective responsibility to nurture peace in every corner of our world.
As women, and particularly as mothers, we frown on the violence that continues to grip parts of our beloved African continent. The devastating impact of conflicts, especially on mothers and children, weighs heavily on our hearts. We, as mothers, call for an end to all conflicts. We urge leaders and communities alike to embrace peace and reconciliation.
May this year's celebration lay a fresh foundation for nurturing peace in our homes, our country, Africa, and the world at large. As part of PROCMURA, we are committed to promoting peaceful coexistence through dialogue and mutual respect.
Let us continue to be beacons of peace, building bridges and creating spaces where understanding and harmony can flourish.
May God's peace reign in our hearts and throughout the world.
