The overall objective of this programme is to strengthen PROCMURA’s work at the grassroots. The programme builds the capacity of church leaders (men women and youth) through formal and informal education. The programme targets church leaders, Sunday schools teachers, the various church denominations, Christian Councils of Churches, ICMR graduates, PROCMURA Area and Regional Advisers and Area Committees.

This programme is implemented in three levels, as indicated below: 

• Level 1: Strengthening capacity of churches and PROCMURA Area Committees in Islam and Christian-Muslim relations
• Level 2: capacity building and awareness raising for deepening skills in faithful Christian witness to the Gospel in the Muslim environment
• Level 3: Strengthening the capacity of PROCMURA Area Committees in each country

Activities under this programme include among others; Scholarships for Master of Arts degree in Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations (ICMR), ICMR Graduates Workshops, Seasonal Schools, Certificated short courses in ICMR, Reinvigoration of old committees and establishment of new PROCMURS Area committees, awareness raising and capacity building sessions on ICMR.
