The New General Adviser of PROCMURA, Rev. Dr. ADRAKE Komi Dzinyefa assumed office on 1st January 2020 to the excitement of the Central Office staff in Nairobi, Kenya, who were patiently and, at the same time, anxiously waiting to welcome him in the Central Office family.
At a meeting with staff to acquaint himself properly with each of them, even though most of them already know him, the General Adviser expressed his delight of joining the team and assured staff that they will continue to work selflessly as a team to promote the PROCMURA course. He reminded the staff that though new in his new role as General Adviser he is not new to PROCMURA as a movement and also not new to the wider PROCMURA family since he has served the organization as Area Adviser for Togo and Regional Coordinator for Franchophone West Africa until his appointment.
Dr. Adrake said that he looked forward to working with all and sundry towards the achievement of PROCMURA’s mission and vision. He urged the Central Office Staff to remain committed as ever and continue with the hard working and teamwork spirit that PROCMURA has inculcated over the years and gained the appellation of so many who wonder how such a moderate work force can achieve that much.
Turning his attention to the Team Leader, Finance and Administration Joy Wandabwa he praised her for combining her busy schedule and working beyond the call of duty to sustain PROCMURA when the Interim General Adviser suddenly passed on. He assured her that they will work as a team and that there was a lot to learn from her on the operations of the Central Office and its partner relations.
The Team Leader, Finance and Administration, Ms. Joy Wandabwa, on her part welcomed the General Adviser on behalf of the PROCMURA Central Office family and expressed her delight that at long last PROCMURA now has a General Adviser. She prayed that the General Adviser will find PROCMURA Central Office an enjoyable but very busy place to be and work at saying, on a light note, that he will be receiving a ‘baptism of fire’ when he begins work in earnest PROCMURA European Liaison Committee meeting which was coming on at the end of January. She assured the General Adviser of her personal commitment and that of the staff in moving PROCMURA forward.
In his first official letter to constituencies and stakeholders, Dr. Adrake thanked the Executive Committee for entrusting him with the huge responsibility of the General Adviser’s office after a rigorous recruitment exercise and, at the same time, reminded the various stakeholders that the organization’s New Strategic Plan (2020-2024) requires the dynamism of every actor, including those on the ground, for its full impact to be felt.
