A Time to Gather
Convened from 8 to 13 October 2008 by the Episcopal/Anglican Diocese of Egypt with PROCMURA, and supported by Danmission, the conference brought together representatives from Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and Western countries to promote dialogue, stability, security and development.
Dialogue must move from the summit to the base—from the level of religious leaders to the everyday life of communities.

Selected Conference Highlights
Africa and Beyond
Participants came from Ghana, Kenya, mainland Tanzania, Zanzibar, Togo, Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, together with representatives from England, Denmark, Italy and the United States.
Dialogue for Everyone
The conference called for dialogue to extend beyond religious leaders and intellectuals by involving women, young people and communities at street level.
Practical Cooperation
Participants urged Christians and Muslims to work together on shared concerns including community development, poverty, HIV/AIDS, malaria and illiteracy.

- Strengthen women’s participation in interfaith dialogue.
- Develop a culture of dialogue among younger generations.
